Socatots back into Pre-School this morning! The children yet again had a fabulous time. Today they have been learning to walk backwards and to kick the dome with their heels, this is a difficult skill to master, and requires a lot of co-ordination and balance. All of the children tried very hard and did well. A brilliant team game of finding your appropriate coloured ball under the cone ended the session. The children were very competitive but thoroughly enjoyed it!
Just a quick reminder that this week is Bags for Schools. Its a good excuse for an autumn clean out, so please have a good rummage and pop your unwanted items into your bags that were handed out (if you need any more bags they will be on the parents table as you come into the hall.)
Please can you drop bags of on Thursday at the latest as they usually come round very early on Friday morning and we don't want to miss them. Thank you. The children had a super time with Socatots in this morning. They all love kicking the balls into the nets, trying to keep control of their footballs, heading the balls and lots of other fun games. We really are not sure where they get all their energy from!!
Such a great time was had that Socatots will be back in 2 weeks time, 23rd October and in November and December ( please see dates for your diary for confirmed dates) We had the wonderful Andy's in this morning taking photos of the children. These will be available very soon for you to view and purchase.
Thank you to all the parents that came back early today to make Christmas cards. What a lot of fun.....(and mess!!!) we all had. We hope you enjoyed doing this as much as the children did. We definitely have some budding artists amongst us!! (Children and Parents!!) Please feel free to finish them of at home and then bring them into us before next Friday 18/10/13 so we can send them off and have them back ,ready for you send to all your family and friends in time for Christmas. Thank you everyone for your generous donations for the harvest festival. The children really enjoyed going into the church to hand over our bountiful crop!.
On Monday we went back into church to see the wonderful decorations and to help the church ladies pack the boxes with all the donations ready to go to The East Grinstead Food Bank and Crawley Open House, two wonderful causes I'm sure you'll agree. Another great morning was had on the picturesque grounds of Whittington college today. The children really enjoyed searching high and low for all their autumnal goodies!
Brilliant job everyone in getting your sponsorship for the hunt, you managed to raise an amazing £133.00. Thank you so much. We will be using some of the money towards new maths resources. |
